Elderly woman grabbed by stranger

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a suspicious incident.  Deputies on Monday responded to Alicante Court in Poinciana, where a 71-year old woman said a man came to her door and attempted to grab her and pull her into her house.

The victim told deputies that someone rang her doorbell. She exited her home through the garage door, opened the door and spoke with a man through a second screen door.  She said he was holding what looked like a restaurant menu and asked her to confirm her name.  She said he then forced his way into her garage and attempted to pull her into her house, but she was able to break free and run across the street.

The suspect ran out of the garage and left the area in a sliver-colored newer model sedan with tinted windows. The vehicle had a magnetic type sign on the door that read, "Frankies" or "Franks."  The victim describes the suspect as a Hispanic male in his late 20s with an olive-colored complexion. He was approximately 5'6" tall with a stocky build, crew haircut and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark colored polo shirt and blue jeans. He was last seen driving towards Koa Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
