Three people, including Eatonville Mayor Anthony Grant, have been indicted on charges of election fraud, according to State Attorney Jeff Ashton.

Anthony Grant, Mia Nowells and James Randolph are charged with 25 counts of election fraud, some of which are felony charges.

Ashton says the allegations surrounding the trio have to do with six absentee ballots, in which one person no longer lived in Eatonville city limits.

Other allegations include people being intimidated to vote for Mayor Grant.

Ashton was unable to prove to a grand jury that actual bribes were given for votes.

Nowells and Randolph turned themselves in during a news conference Monday.

Just before 10:30 p.m. Monday, Mayor Grant turned himself in at the Orange County jail. Grant was later bonded out of jail early Tuesday morning. When reporters asked if he had anything to say, Grant responded, "I'm getting in the shower and I'm playing golf."

For now, Vice Mayor Angela Thomas will take over all mayoral duties.
