A DeLand 19-year-old fired shots through his front door from inside the home as some angry teenagers broke in the front door.

Deputies say it started with an argument over a girl early Sunday morning. Two 19- year- olds got into an argument at a party late Saturday night. Deputies were called to this DeLand home around 2 Sunday morning

In the 911 call you hear a 19-year-old say, "They’re breaking my glass ma’am. They’re breaking my glass,  Please hurry, please hurry. I’m about to shoot ma'am."

The 911 operator said, "Do whatever you need to do to protect yourself. "

Then you hear the gun fire.

"Owww! I shot ma’am, I shot."

The 911 operator said, "Ok, I understand."

The 19-year-old lives here with his grandmother on Melodie Lane. He said he left a party after some teens threatened him during an argument about a girl. He came home and then he and his grandmother heard someone kicking in the front door. His grandmother grabbed the gun, and he took the gun from his grandmother.

He told the men to leave and warned that he had a gun.

The guys kept kicking and the 19 year old told deputies he thought the door was about to give way so he fired one shot through the door.

The group ran from the home. The shooting victim, Romoan Walker went to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City. He had to have surgery to remove the bullet.

Deputies say Walker will likely face charges, they asked the State Attorney’s Office to look at the case. The 19- year-old who fired the gun will not face any charges.
