Deadline extended for displaced Puerto Rican Hurricane Maria victims

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Puerto Rican evacuees staying in Florida hotels have been given another extension.

They were supposed to move out Sunday because FEMA's Shelter Program was scheduled to expire after being extended four times.

A Latino Civil Rights group seeking a stay last night says that a judge approved an extension through July 4th. A hearing on this fifth extension is scheduled for Monday. 

FEMA is also offering to pay for one-way plane tickets back to the island, in addition to financial assistance with housing relocation.
