Crews investigate suspicious fire at Ocala home

OCALA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A suspicious fire broke out early Tuesday at a home in Ocala where a teenager was killed last week, according to officials.

Ocala Police Department said the fire broke out just after 2 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of NW 1st Ave.

Police said this is the same scene where teenager Jeffrey Scott was shot and killed, and another critically injured.

Police say the fire is being considered suspicious.

Ocala Fire Rescue Arson Investigators and Ocala Police Department responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
