Construction on interim Pulse memorial to begin

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The official nonprofit managing the design, construction, and operation of a permanent museum and memorial to the Pulse nightclub tragedy, onePULSE Foundation, will start building a temporary interim memorial on February 26.
The foundation says the interim memorial will give families, survivors, first responders, and the thousands of people who come each year space to pay their respects while planning and design of the permanent memorial are underway.
As part of the process, onePULSE Foundation will work with the Orange County Regional History Center to carefully collect and conserve all of the artifacts, works of art, messages, and other memorial items left at the site.
Families and survivors have been invited to take home any personal items and messages they left at the site. Orange County Regional History Center staff will collect the remaining items on Sunday, February 25.
