Cocoa police investigate shooting

COCOA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Cocoa police officers are investigating a shooting in which one person was wounded.

Dispatchers began receiving multiple 911 calls just before 9 p.m. on Monday, reporting a shooting at a residence on Flower Mound Lane. When officers arrived, they found man with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk.

Cocoa fire-medics responded and began additional life-saving measures. The man was transported by ambulance to the hospital where his condition was critical.  

Detectives are in the process of interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence and crime scene technicians are processing the scene.
