Central Florida man starts petition against SunPass charges

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - One Central Florida man is taking on SunPass.

SunPass has been struggling to catch up since a June website upgrade, but customers still cannot see transactions. 

Mike Dimauro has started a change.org petition to get SunPass to wave tolls while it's still trying to catch up. He says that customers shouldn't pay for the company's mistakes.

Governor Rick Scott has also weighed in, saying that "DOT is holding them accountable. They're not paying them. They are working on the backlog as quickly as they can. The vendor has not done the right thing."

Dimauro's petition now has over 1,600 signatures. It's goal was only 800.
