Case of father accused of killing son expected to go to jury

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - An Orange County man, accused of beating his son to death, could learn his fate this Wednesday.

Darrell Avant's case is expected to go to the jury. Prosecutors say that he killed his five-year-old after the child got in trouble at school.

If convicted, Avant faces the death penalty.
