Car hit with bullets crashes in front of Orlando home

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating a shooting which involved a car being left on someone's front porch.

"I thought it was firecrackers. I was sitting in the room  and thought, that was kind of close," said nearby resident Tony, who asked that we not use his last name in this article.

Shots were fired on Figwood Lane, which left a car riddled with bullets.  It was ditched by the driver in front of a house.  Deputies said the driver ran away.

We could see at least a half-dozen bullet holes in the vehicle as it was towed away. The windshield on another car also shot out! No one knows why.

"I was asleep," said the owner of the home. "Don't know whose car that was. I don't know nothing, that's what I'm trying to say!"

He said no one in the home was injured.

"This is America, this is Orlando nowadays!"

Deputies said the investigation continues, leaving residents like Tony wondering what happened.

"Makes me want to stay in the house," Tony said.
