Brown had been the subject of a statewide "Be On the Lookout" (BOLO) alert, with deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO), Daytona Beach Police Department, and Port Orange Police Department working together to locate him.

Authorities say Brown faces charges of:

  • Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony
  • False Imprisonment
  • Domestic Battery by Strangulation
  • Criminal Mischief

The coordinated search ended at a Port Orange address where Brown surrendered peacefully.

Sheriff Chitwood credited the collaboration between local agencies for the successful resolution of what could have been a dangerous situation.

"This arrest highlights the teamwork of our law enforcement agencies and their commitment to keeping the community safe," Chitwood said in a statement.

Brown remains in custody at the Volusia County Jail.
