A 225-pound sea turtle named Kirby is back at sea.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium released its largest Loggerhead sea turtle to date on Tuesday off of Clearwater Beach.

Officials say Kirby was found floating near Indian Rocks Beach back on January 29.

They say he had a buoyancy issue that may have been caused by a GI tract problem.

Officials at the aquarium gave Kirby fluids, vitamins, antibiotics and monitored his body temperature.

They say he gained weight and his buoyancy improved, so he was readdy to be returned to the wild.
