22-year-old man allegedly commits sexual battery against 8-year-old step-sibling

The Casselberry Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man for committing sexual battery against against an 8-year-old child, who is his step-sibling.

Police say that an officer responded to alleged sexual offense involving an 8-year-old child and 22-year-old step-brother in Casselberry, Seminole County, Florida.

The officer says that while on scene, it was discovered that 22-year-old Christopher Dunn had photos and videos of his 8-year-old step-sibling on his phone. These revealed that the 22-year-old had performed several sexual acts on the step-sibling while the step-sibling slept.

The mother reportedly told the officer that she first caught him with just one photo on January 26th, which Dunn was immediately remorseful for and deleted.  But on the next day, she looked through his phone more and then found several photos and videos of him performing sexual acts on the child.

Dunn started living with the family in January 2017, says police. He requested to live with them after he was a caregiver to a family member that has since passed.

Police say that Dunn admitted that he involved the step-sibling in sexually explicit acts and recorded them on his cell phone. He was adamant that the child was asleep and unaware of each incident.

However, Dunn reportedly told the officer that he wanted an attorney present and that this was a decision out of fear, not because he did not want to be forthcoming.

The officer says that there is probable cause to believe that Dunn committed sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 by an offender over the age of 18. The officer also believe there is probable cause that Dunn produced material that promotes sexual activity by a child, as well as 23 counts of possession of sexually explicit material of a child.

Dunn was arrested and transported without incident.
