Two men are recovering after being shot at a bus stop, authorities say.

Just after 3 p.m. on Friday, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to the 7000 block of  South Orange Blossom Trail, after receiving a call of shots being fired.

The two victims, ages 23 and 28, were approached by a man who fired at them multiple times, according to Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Williamson. One victim ran into a nearby Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant; the other remained at bus stop.

Some firefighters, who were just a few blocks away, arrived on scene and administered aid.

"My understanding is the firefighters heard shots fired -- one may even be witness to it -- and were over there fast enough to render aid," said Williamson.  "From what I understand, you may have some hero firefighters who rushed into what appears to be a very dangerous situation to render aid to some individuals."

Both victims were take to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  Both received non life-threatening injuries.

Several witnesses are being questioned by deputies, who said the suspect headed south on OBT in a Gold Honda Civic.

"I have heard he was wearing some strange outfit or head gear," said Williamson, but deputies have not been able to confirm that description at this time.

Williamson said both victims were struck from behind. Both are concious and alert and are able to talk to detectives.  Authorities are also reviewing surveillance camera footage from a nearby store to see if any information can be garnered from the video.

Authorities are still trying to determine the motive and circumstances.
