2 injured in plane crash at Leesburg International Airport

LEESBURG, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a plane crash Friday morning. 

According to police, the small plane crashed on Leesburg International Airport property. 

The plane was located and emergency crews rescued two passenger who are reportedly injured. Their injuries, police say, do not appear to be life-threatening.

Both passengers have been transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The FAA will be conducting the crash investigation.
