1 fatally shot in DeLeon Springs
DELEON SPRINGS, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A man is dead after he was shot during a fight in DeLeon Springs, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives were on scene late Tuesday sorting out details. Investigators said initial reports indicate the man who was shot had just stabbed another man with a knife.
"The shooter remained on scene. The man who was shot was pronounced dead on the scene," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Andrew Gant. "The man who was stabbed was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand by witnesses at the gas station. His injuries were non-life-threatening."
Detectives did not immediately release the names of the two involved in this incident or whether there would be any charges.
