1 dead, 9 others in hospital after crash on the Florida Turnpike

A woman is dead and nine others were taken to a hospital after a crash on the Florida Turnpike. 

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says that the crash occurred on the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike at 11:50 a.m. near mile marker 212.

According to FHP, witnesses say they saw a vehicle traveling southbound when it appeared to make a lane change and cut off a Ford Explorer, which had ten people traveling in it. The driver of the Explorer lost control and overturned multiple times.

FHP went on to detail the incident, saying that several occupants were ejected from the vehicle and an adult female was pronounced deceased on scene. The remaining nine occupants, including four children, were taken to an unknown number of hospitals.
