Weather Forecast: August 19, 2021

FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Brooks Garner has the latest on the weather in Central Florida, including the scorching heat we've been experiencing.

It was another hot, uncomfortably humid day in Central Florida, with above-average temperatures and below-average rain amounts.

Drier air in the middle and upper layers of the atmosphere meant less of a chance for rain but some afternoon storms did develop late afternoon and early evening in the western part of Central Florida.

High temperatures it the low-90s along the coast, the mid-90s inland, with a few spots hitting the upper-90s.

The heat index or "feels-like" temperature approached 105 in most spots.
