Orlando will see storms continue tonight with heavy rain and lightning, followed by a stormy Labor Day afternoon with gusty winds and downpours.

What will the weather look like tonight?

What to Expect:

Our storm chances will stay high for the rest of the afternoon with widespread thunderstorms lingering into the overnight. The main threats tonight are heavy rain, gusty winds, vivid lightning and keeping the low but not zero chance of a brief tornado.

As the storms quiet down late tonight, muggy and mild conditions will be on tap for the rest of the night. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid and upper 70s tonight.

What will the weather look like tomorrow?

What to Expect:

It won't be a total washout for the rest of Labor Day Weekend, but it will be wet. The morning hours will be great for any outdoor activities, but any outdoor activities in the afternoon and evening may need to be moved indoors. Main threats for Labor Day include periods of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. There is the possibility of small hail in some of the stronger storms.

We will still have a very low chance but not zero chance of seeing a brief tornado with the increased wind energy in the northern parts of our viewing area.

The main timeline for the wettest times of the day will be between 3PM–10PM. Because of the cloud cover, highs will be slightly cooler, lingering in the upper 80s.

What will the weather look like next week?

Looking Ahead:

We will be watching our next round of rain start to kick in as a front drops our way, bringing widespread showers and storms. Later on in the week, drier air starts to set in, cutting our chances of rain late this week and into next weekend.

Thank you high pressure! Temperatures linger right around 90 degrees for the next 7 days.

Eastern Atlantic:
30% chance of development in the next 7 days.

In the eastern Atlantic there is a zone of interest for a wave that is being watched as it is trying to make its way off the coast of Africa. This wave is set to move off the African Coastline on Sunday and moving westward across the Atlantic next week.
