The first day of Summer is expected to be a hot and humid day in Central Florida, with a heat index around 103.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop and push slowly into the region, mostly in the afternoon and early evening.  Chances of showers and thunderstorms during that time will be 50%. Rain chances will eventually drop to 30% before 8 p.m.

Temperatures will rise to the low 90's, but, when factoring in humidity, the heat index will feel well into the triple digits. However, at night, temperatures will drop to the mid-70s.
