Unemployment system in Florida overwhelmed

Some state lawmakers are pushing for Florida residents to get unemployment benefits dated from when they lost their jobs and not based on the date they were admitted into the unemployment system. The system has been overwhelmed as businesses have shuttered or scaled back because of the coronavirus pandemic.
