Armed man shot, killed by police: authorities

A man was shot and killed by police in Holly Hill, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. Authorities reported that the incident occurred in an apartment on Ridgewood Avenue where the man was experiencing a "violent episode." Upon arrival, officers found the man armed with a steak knife, threatening to harm himself and others. An officer then fired shots, resulting in the man's death.
