Teen shot, killed mom inside home: Sheriff

A 14-year-old boy is accused of shooting and killing his mother and shooting his mother’s boyfriend five times, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Hillsborough County deputies responded to the Summerfield subdivision in Riverview to find the boy who they said pointed a firearm at his head "at least six times." After a 16-minute negotiation, deputies fired a non-lethal projectile at the teenager and took him into custody.
