The 407 gets a taste of the Merry Birthday cake
Having a birthday during the holidays can be challenging. In response, Publix has released Merry Birthday cakes to celebrate all the December birthdays. The part holiday, part birthday dessert is iced in pink buttercream and decorated with green Christmas trees. It is available for special order.
Free Frontyard Holiday Festival at Dr. Phillips Center
Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has turned its lawn into a festive display. Running weekly, through January 4, there are free live performances, light displaces and family-friendly activities drawing thousands of guests. Tracking Santa with NORAD
There is an entire team dedicated to tracking Santa. NORAD first started tracking the Saint Nick back in 1955, thanks to a mistake in a newspaper. Now, volunteers manned the phones as hundreds of thousands of children call in to see if they're getting coal or presents for Christmas.
