Woman tries entering Animal Kingdom with gun

Monday was a busy day for Disney security. Deputies say 23-year-old Baleigh Turner from Alabama was caught trying to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a loaded pistol in her backpack.

This was after a Louisiana man was caught earlier in the day trying to bring a gun through the gates at Epcot. A Disney security officer found 61-year-old Michael Langston's gun after selecting him for a random metal detector screening, prompting him to disclose the weapon, an arrest report states.

Authorities say Turner once had a permit to carry a concealed weapon but it expired in January. Disney has a strict, zero-tolerance policy that prohibits guns from their theme parks and results, even with a permit.

Jail records show both Turner and Langston bailed out of the Orange County Jail after posting a $2,000 bond.
