ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A murder suspect accused of killing her husband, a University of Central Florida executive, will be allowed to see her kids during supervised visits, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Danielle Redlick is just months away from the start of her murder trial. Police say the 45-year-old woman stabbed her husband, 65-year-old Michael Redlick, to death inside their Winter Park home back in January.
The police report says she waited 11 hours before calling 911. They say she first told police that her husband had a heart attack. Her story then changed, saying he stabbed himself.
Investigators say she told them the reason she did not call sooner was because she was scared and on probation.
"First you said that you thought he had a heart attack. So do you think it was a heart attack or do you think it was due to the stabbing that he passed away?" a 911 dispatcher asked Redlick
"Probably the stabbing triggered it, I guess," Redlick replied.
An autopsy later showed that her husband did not suffer a heart attack and did not stab himself.
Investigators say a search warrant also revealed that Danielle Redlick was checking dating websites while her husband was dead in their home before she called 911.
Michael Redlick was a well respected UCF executive at the Sports Business Management program. Redlick is charged with second degree murder and tampering with evidence.
Her trial is set for June.
