ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - Orange County sheriff's deputies want to know who shot 19-year-old Tyrese Puch to death, along Fairwood Way.
His family held a vigil at the scene of the crime on Tuesday, a day after Puch was gunned down. Deputies say the shooting happened around 7:30 on Monday night.
"He was a caring person," said a friend of the victim, Lashaun. "He cared about everyone else before he cared about himself."
"I was in the car," explained neighbor Woe Jones. "I just heard the gunshots -- about 10 shots -- 'Pop, pop!' It sounded like more than one person shooting."
Neighbors said a fight broke out nearby, and shortly after that, bullets went flying, causing parents to run inside and take cover with their children.
Lashaun said, "Lot of little kids out in the neighborhood all day."
Residents weren’t allowed in until 6 o’clock Tuesday morning, because investigators were searching the area. As a killer is on the loose, it has many on edge.
"Everybody dropping left and right. It’s part of our environment to be honest with you," Lashaun said, adding that they can’t believe this happened to their friend. "We miss you TY,you’re gonna always live on."
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
