Victim shot dead in Apopka has been identified

APOPKA, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Orange County Sheriff's Office has identified the man shot and killed in an Apopka neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Deputies found 46-year-old Calvin Lewis White III with a gunshot wound in the area of 15th Street and S. Central Avenue after receiving a call about shots fired around 5:30 a.m. 

White was taken to AdventHealth Apopka, where he was pronounced dead.

The Sheriff's office is investigating this case as a homicide. So far, they have not released any suspect information.
