UCF students dance for 20 hours, raises over 1.5 million dollars

The University of Central Florida (UCF) reports that more than 1,000 of their students stayed on their feet and danced for 20 hours this weekend at Knight-Thon, an event organized to benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

The school says that this year's Knight-Thon raised raised $1,584,698, up more than $333,000 from last year, and the highest level in its 22-year history.

They also say that Knight-Thon is UCF’s largest student-run philanthropy, with close to 3,000 students raising money throughout the year through fundraisers and personal appeals.
