ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The University of Central Florida (UCF) reports that more than 1,000 of their students stayed on their feet and danced for 20 hours this weekend at Knight-Thon, an event organized to benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
The school says that this year's Knight-Thon raised raised $1,584,698, up more than $333,000 from last year, and the highest level in its 22-year history.
They also say that Knight-Thon is UCF’s largest student-run philanthropy, with close to 3,000 students raising money throughout the year through fundraisers and personal appeals.
