The UCF police chief says there have been three reported sex acts in one week. Now, the hunt is on to find the person, or people, responsible.

On Thursday, just after 5 p.m., officers say a man committed a sex act in front of several people near the UCF athletic fields.

Student Gabby Brummer says, "Horrible, I don't want it to happen to me or anybody else. You should feel safe anywhere in the school."

Student Mehul Patel says, "It disturbs everyone coming out to the fields to have fun. No one expects they'll see such things."

But, it's even more disturbing because of what's happened on campus this week.

UCF Police Chief Carl Metzer says, "The fact that we've had three reports of this nature in less than a week is certainly out of the ordinary."

On Tuesday, Chief Metzer says a person in a gray car followed two women from a nearby McDonald's to a parking garage outside the athletic dorms and performed a sex act in front of them.

"At this point, we don't believe the incident is connected to Thursday's incident," he said.

Police say on Sunday evening, a woman claimed she was touched inappropriately, but Metzer says that case will most likely be dropped due to a lack of evidence.

But, investigators say students and staff should be on alert.

Police say the suspect in Thursday's incident is a white male, around 20 to 30 years old, with a stocky build and big stomach.

They say he was driving a gray, four-door Kia with tinted windows and silver wheels.

UCF Police is asking anyone with any information to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
