2 pedestrians hit and killed in Brevard County crash
Two pedestrians are dead following a crash that took place on Sunday night in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). According to troopers, the two pedestrians were not walking in a marked crosswalk.
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Two pedestrians are dead following a crash that took place on Sunday night in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
What we know:
Troopers said the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Sunday in the area of North Courtenay Parkway and Grove Boulevard in Merritt Island.

Officials say the crash took place when a 1991 Lincoln Town Car was traveling southbound on North Courtenay Parkway, south of Grove Boulevard, in the outside lane. Meanwhile, two people were walking in a westerly direction and entered the direct path of the car, causing the car to hit them.
According to troopers, the two pedestrians were not walking in a marked crosswalk.
Officials said the two pedestrians, a 62-year-old man from Cocoa and a 60-year-old woman from Palm Bay, were killed in the crash.

The driver and the passenger in the car were not injured and remained at the scene of the crash.
