Two charged after middle school fight ends with pepper spray

According to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department, a fight involving two students at Meadowbrook Middle School was stopped with pepper spray on Wednesday morning. 

The Orange County Sheriff's Office provided more information on the incident. They said that two females got into a physical altercation during period 1 (approximately 9 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.). Several students were said to be cheering the girls on to fight and the girls would not listen to the deputies' verbal command. Both girls were pepper-sprayed.

The Sheriff's Office went on to say that ten other students who were in the area were affected by the pepper spray residue. The Orange County Fire Rescue Department were on scene evaluating 12 students, all with minor respiratory complaints. No students were transported to the hospital. Parents of the affected students were contacted.

The two females fighting are being charged with Affray, Disruption of school function and resisting without violence.
