The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall covers 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, Lexus LX, and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles equipped with a V35A engine. Below is the number of vehicles recalled for each model.

  • 2022-2024 Lexus LX – 9,895 vehicles
  • 2024 Lexus GX – 3,717 vehicles

NHTSA officials explained on their website that debris from the manufacturing process might contaminate the engine and cause the main bearings to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.
