Tom Hanks sings 'Happy Birthday' to fan at New Mexico restaurant
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Just when you thought you couldn't love Tom Hanks more, the 'Toy Story' actor took time out from his evening to sing 'Happy Birthday' to one very excited fan at a New Mexico restaurant.
Samantha Aragon tells Fox 35 that she was dining at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Albuquerque with friends for her birthday over the weekend. To her surprise, seated right at the next table was Hanks.
She said she noticed other diners trying to take sneaky selfies with Hanks, so she started dropping hints that she would love for the actor to sing to her.
Moments later, Hanks walked over to Aragon's table and gave her a birthday present she'll never forget.
"Happy birthday dear Samantha, happy birthday to you!" Hanks sings in the video.
"Oh my god! I love you so much!" Aragon said, who couldn't stop smiling.
The interaction was quick, but Aragon said that memory will last forever.
"I was in complete shock! The crying did not come until I thought about it later," Aragon tells Fox 35. "Seeing someone who I've watched as I've grown up was a truly amazing experience. I wouldn't trade it for anything!"
Hanks is in Albuquerque filming a sci-fi drama titled “Bios.”
