Suspect sought in Lake Mary bank robbery, officials say

A suspect is at large following a bank robbery in Lake Mary. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is investigating. 

Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. This morning, at approximately 11:17 a.m.,

Deputies responded to the Bank of America located at 4501 W. Lake Mary Boulevard just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. According to witnesses, a man entered the bank and walked up to a bank teller, held up a note that demanded money, and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, 40-50 years of age, standing 6 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighing approximately 230 pounds. He was wearing a black fleece jacket, dark-colored pants, and a black ball ski cap.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
