GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Officers in Gainesville reported that they arrested a man for pepper spraying a woman and attempting to carjack her.
The Gainesville Police Department reported that several officers responded to a mobile home park in reference to a carjacking.
Officers said that they the victim was sitting in the driver's seat of her car with the door open when she was approached by 26-year-old Naytrellis N. Enoch. Enoch reportedly sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray and grabbed the victim by her ankles and tried to pull her out of the car, but was unsuccessful.
Officers went on to report that Enoch also tried to take the keys out of the ignition as well as the victim's cell phone, but was unsuccessful. The victim screamed several times and Enoch reportedly fled the area.
Officers reported that they were able to locate Enoch across the street in the Turkey Creek Forrest neighborhood. Enoch told officers that "I'm the guy your looking" and that "I pepper sprayed her."
Officers said that they also found a mostly empty bottle of pepper spray on Enoch.
