Two women are dead in Orange County after they were hit by a car while riding on a motorcycle.

It happened on Haas Road, near Plymouth Sorrento Road, on Sunday.

Troopers say a longtime firefighter paramedic with Casselberry Fire Diana Gilboy, 43, and her passenger Sarah Post, 34, died in the crash.

Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol say the car was exiting a private driveway when the car attempted to make a left turn and turned into the direct path of the motorcycle.

FHP is investigating.

The Seminole County Fire Department released this statement:

"SCFD sadly announces the passing of Firefighter Diana Gilboy as a result of a motorcycle crash while off duty. She became a member of SCFD this past Thursday, October 1st, as a result of Casselberry Fire Department merging into Seminole County. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family and coworkers!"
