Live updates: Metal scrapyard burning in Orlando
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Piles of metal are burning at a scrapyard in Orlando, sending huge columns of smoke into the air, according to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department.
In a post on X, the agency said a 50-by-50 pile of metal is burning at TMR- Trademark Metals Recycling, near Landstreet and Sidney Hayes Road, east of State Road 528. No structures are threatened.

What is TMR?
According to its website, Trademark Metals Recycling operates 22 recycling facilities throughout Florida. It's a wholly owned venture of The David J. Joseph Company.
The company buys scrap metal, both household and industrial, like stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers; junk cars, old trucks, farm equipment, as well as aluminum cans, pots and pants, brass, copper, etc.
