Sanford police do 'In My Feelings' challenge

You may have noticed a lot of viral video challenges going around from the lip sync challenge and now to the Shiggy Challenge – also known as the “In My Feelings” Challenge from the popular Drake song.

Now the Sanford Police Department is joining the fun filming their own music video at the Veterans Park in Sanford with members of the community.

“Ok everybody get ready!” Bianca Gillett shouted to the officers.

Stepping out of a Sanford Police car, one officer started dancing to Drake’s In My Feelings song.

“Keke do you love me” was blasting from the patrol car sound system.

Officers showed off their best moves while dancing with community members - adding their department to the latest list of agencies taking on this viral video challenge.

“We are humans outside of the uniform,” said Capt. Terkelle Perkins said, who came up with the idea.

Showing their lighter side is why Abner Jackson Jr. wanted to take a break from his daily walk to jump in.

“I enjoyed the camaraderie, the friendship and just us being out here,” he said.

So did the handful of others that stopped in their tracks to take a photo and capture the making of this music video.

“Keke loves Sanford Police,” everyone shouted at the end.

As with any challenge, the Sanford Police Department is now challenging the Mount Dora Police Department, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office to the “In My Feelings” Challenge.
