Rockledge police officer hurt in crash in Brevard County, officials say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - A police officer with the Rockledge Police Department was hurt in a crash in Brevard County while headed to work Monday morning, according to Cocoa police.

Authorities said she reportedly crashed into a semi-tractor trailer at State Road 520 and US-1, causing damage to both vehicles. 

The officer has non-life threatening injuries, police said. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
