Report: MLS to bring 2019 All-Star Game to Orlando

Another major sporting event could be coming to Orlando next year.

Pro Soccer USA reports that multiple sources inside Major League Soccer say the 2019 MLS All-Star Game will be coming to the City Beautiful, to be played at Orlando City Stadium.

The 2018 Major League Soccer All-Star Game presented by Target at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta tonight is sold out, with a limited number of standing-room only tickets. The League’s annual midsummer showcase is on track to break the standalone MLS All-Star Game attendance record of 70,728, which was set in Houston in 2010, when the best in MLS took on Manchester United.

Since the current All-Star Game format was adopted in 2005, pitting a team of MLS stars against a prominent club from Europe, the American-based league holds a 7-6 edge.
