Central Florida sees 3 police standoffs in almost as many days
Central Florida law enforcement responded to three separate police standoffs in almost as many days, including one that left three people dead. In Deltona, Volusia County deputies confronted a man armed with multiple weapons who was reportedly setting fires in the street on Patron Avenue. In Brevard County, an hours-long standoff in Titusville ended with the arrest of a man who police said had threatened family members—meanwhile, a shooting during an eviction in Indian River County on Friday left a deputy, a locksmith, and the suspect dead.
TITUSVILLE, Fla. - The Titusville Police Department conducted an active SWAT investigation at a residence on Monday morning.

What we know:
Titusville Police responded to a home around 11:20 a.m., on Nov. 24, regarding an armed person refusing to exit a home near Gray Avenue and refusing to surrender to law enforcement, the department said.
The department said the suspect – identified as Julius D Castellon, 22, of Titusville – was threatening family members with a gun.
Officers spoke with Castellon on the phone, but were unable to get him to surrender. Instead, he barricaded himself in the home, police said.

Multiple officers, a drone unit and a K9 were spotted on the scene. The SWAT team led the suspect out of the home around 1:15 p.m.
Police reported around 1:20 p.m., that the subject is now in police custody. No injuries to anyone were reported, officials said.
Officers were able to get Castellon's family to a safe place.
After speaking with Castellon for over three hours, Titusville SWAT was called to the scene, the department said. When SWAT began their response, Castellon surrendered.
The Titusville Police Department said Julius Castellon threatened his family with a gun on Nov. 24.
He is facing two charges, including: aggravated assault with a firearm (domestic violence) and possession of firearm or ammunition by person subject to an injunction.
"Today’s incident involving an armed, barricaded individual ended safely thanks to the exceptional teamwork of various members of our agency, include our Patrol Officers, SWAT Team, and Crisis Negotiators. Their coordinated efforts, patience, and professionalism led to a peaceful surrender with no injuries to anyone involved," TPD SWAT Commander, Sgt. Jennings said in a released statement. "We are grateful for the dedication of our officers and the support of our community as we work together to keep Titusville safe."
Residents are able to resume normal activity, the department said.
