Belle Isle police say a pizza delivery driver became the victim of a carjacking after he left his car running in front of the Woodspring Suites Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the victim tried getting the suspect out of his car, then jumped on the hood of his car to stop the suspect.

That’s when the suspect took off with the victim still on the hood, jumping up a curb, running over a tree, driving up another curb before driving off of a 3-foot wall and across the intersection.

At some point, the victim was thrown from the hood of his car. Parts of the car littered the parking lot.

A short time later, police found the victim's banged up car abandoned on the S.R. 528 off-ramp at Narcoossee Road.

Someone called 911 reporting a suspicious person running down Narcoossee Road.

Orlando Police arrested a man in that area.

A photo line-up was taken to the victim at the hospital to see if he could identify the suspect.
