Residents say they have grown used to seeing streets and yards swallowed by water.

Several inches of rain have fallen in parts of Florida's Space Coast, causing flooding in several neighborhoods.

In Edgewater's Florida Shores neighborhood, homeowners have turned to makeshift barriers—tree stumps, parked cars, and sandbags—to block waves created by passing vehicles.

Flooding in Edgewater as heavy rains hit Florida
Neighbors who live in Edgewater saw several inches of rain, causing flooding on their street and yards. Those who live on one street have begun to park vehicles in the roadway and placed a tree stump in the middle to slow traffic, to try and stop water from being pushed into their yards.
Edgewater Mayor Diezel Depew posted several photographs of flooding earlier in the day.
