Oviedo mom arrested in death of infant daughter

OVIEDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A Central Florida mother has been arrested in the death of her one-year-old daughter, authorities say.

Oviedo police officers took Kristen De Pasquale, 27, into custody a few days ago.  She now faces charges of first-degree murder and child neglect with great bodily harm. 

Police said on Thursday, she called 911, saying her daughter was unresponsive and had a cord around her neck.
She claimed it was an accident, but investigators thought otherwise and found cause for her arrest.  No other details in the case were immediately known.

De Pasquale remains in the Seminole County Jail without bond and is expected to appear before a judge on Tuesday afternoon.
