Officials search for man who went missing from Brevard beach
Multiple agencies assisted in trying to locate a man who went underwater and didn't resurface, according to officials.
MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. - A body was found along Melbourne Beach on Monday as authorities searched for a missing bodyboarder who disappeared in dangerous surf, though officials have not confirmed the identity.
Search follows disappearance in rough surf
The search began Sunday after 53-year-old Jason Doyle, an experienced bodyboarder, disappeared while riding waves near Ponce de Leon Park around 9:30 a.m.

His longtime partner, Christa Ciampaglia, said she was taking photos from shore when Doyle disappeared beneath the water. When he did not resurface, she immediately called 911.
The U.S. Coast Guard and local law enforcement searched by air and sea as dangerous surf and rip currents battered the Space Coast.
Friends described Doyle as a longtime bodyboarder and a respected figure in the sport, saying he was highly experienced in the water.
Dangerous surf blamed
Rough surf and strong rip currents can become life-threatening even when weather conditions on land appear calm.
What we don't know:
Deputies have not confirmed whether the body recovered Monday is Doyle, and the investigation remains ongoing.
