Officers rescue cat stuck under hood of car

A strange noise from a car's engine turned into a rescue operation in Dunwoody on Sunday.

A Dunwoody motorist called the police after he began driving and thought he heard a meowing coming from under the hood of his car.

When the officers got to the scene and opened the hood, they discovered a little kitty, who thought it would be smart to take shelter in the car.

The kitty was scared at first, but officers were able to get the cat out unharmed with all of its nine lives intact.

"First time for everything," the department said on Facebook.
