Nearly half a million expected to pass through OIA this spring break season

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Nearly half a million people are expected to pass through the Orlando International Airport this spring break season.

The airport hit its peak over the weekend, as totals for Friday and Saturday were around 160,000 each day. Fox 35 spoke to several travelers those days and they seemed relatively unfazed. One of them said that "I'm pleasantly surprised."

Despite the influx of travelers, the airport kept wait times pretty short throughout the weekend.
