Toddler kitchen step stools recalled (CPSC)
Federal regulators are recalling nearly 100,000 toddler kitchen step stools after multiple reports of the stools tipping over and injuring children.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall involves Woodure-branded tower kitchen step stools.

The CPSC says the recalled tower stools can collapse or tip over while in use, and a child’s torso can fit through the openings on the front and back sides. That poses a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards.

By the numbers:
About 91,000 units have been recalled after 22 reports of instability or tip-overs, including 15 reported injuries with scrapes, cuts and bruises. The recalled models include WD1764, WD1357, and WD1720.

They were sold on Amazon from July 2024 through June 2026 for between $60 and $100.
What you can do:
Customers are urged to stop using the stools immediately and store them away from children. Contact Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development for a repair kit, which includes protective nets, stabilizing feet and installation instructions. The firm will mail the free repair kit directly to consumers.
