A young boy who was running on Route 59 in the Chicago suburb of Naperville was rescued last month by a police officer, and the incident was caught on camera.

The young boy “escaped his mother’s watchful eye” and left his house. Sgt. Anthony Mannino found the boy running down the side of the busy street and jumped into action.

Fortunately, the boy was not hurt. Sgt. Mannino was presented the police department’s Life Saving Award on June 7.
